Doni Perry

Marketing leader who builds the systems that make marketing work: strategy, operations, content and events.

About Me

My background is rooted in marketing, but the common thread through the past 15+ years has been operations: building processes, training teams, and finding better ways to get things done. I've done that in agencies and in-house, most recently leading marketing and business development for a commercial real estate investment firm and a security company simultaneously. Whether I'm a one-person department or part of a team, I'm always looking to improve results, the customer experience and how the team works.

What I Do

  • Strategy: Marketing plans built around business goals, from the big picture down to optimizing a Google Ads campaign. Agency work taught me to learn new industries quickly and build strategies that fit.
  • Marketing Operations & Automation: Workflows, project management systems, checklists, automations, and reporting so everyone knows what to do and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Content & Messaging: I started as a copywriter, translating business goals into clear communication from the customer's point of view. Today, that includes content strategy, calendars, buyer personas, and editing.
  • Events: Networking events, client appreciation events, and company events, planned and run from start to finish.

Key Accomplishments

  • Led a CRM and email marketing conversion from HubSpot to a lower-cost platform, saving $12,000+ per year
  • Built marketing strategies, buyer personas, content calendars and analytics reporting for 20+ agency clients and, most recently, a commercial real estate investment firm in-house
  • Created a social and email campaign for a precious metals investing client that generated more leads than their sales team could handle
  • Served as an agency email marketing lead, writing SOPs and leading internal training
